1066 - Multiplayer War Game
Game Overview:
1066 is an in-depth turn-based strategy war game where the goal is to out-wit and out-fight the opponents troops. Choose between the English, Viking, or Norman army which each have their own particular strengths and weaknesses relating to certain types of troops and attacks.
The game is played in two phases; Select commands and execute commands. Troops can be moved or given other instructions such as fight and defend by using the 'Battle Map' located at the bottom of the screen. This battle map shows the position of your troops and the enemy troops on the five possible lines of battle. During the 'Select Commands' phase, the player can click on each individual unit to assign orders.
When attacking or defending with certain types of troops, there will be various mini-games which determines the success rate of the attack. Mini-games include setting the angle and power for archer attacks, or repeatedly pressing the space bar to build up steam for a warrior skirmish. The game ends when a side has been eliminated or forced to surrender from lack of morale.
Not only does 1066 contain a single player campaign mode, but also supports online multiplayer interaction to battle other people from around the world. Fun, original, challenging, and nice to look at with stylized silhouetted troop animations make this a great flash war game.
Controls / How To Play:
Use the mouse to control the game by assigning orders to your troops on the battle map.
Up / Down Arrow Keys = View different rows
Left / Right Arrow Keys = Scroll Battlefield
Other keys may used during the mini-game battles.
